Hello,

My name is John and welcome to www.rocknrollsolo.com

I grew up in the St Louis area and as a teenager in the 80’s playing drums in a local rock band. We played places like Bobby Socks and Pop’s Saloon and Music. We covered everything from Black Foot to Van Halen of course we had quiet a few originals we would throw in the mix. The band fell apart after about five years of playing full time. After that I went into industrial and construction sales. Then moved to Branson Mo to work for an internet service provider 6 years ago and have since been laid off due to outsourcing.

 

On a funny note

The picture on the left is me on my 17th birthday. Check out the 80’s do. The image on the right is my cool new Mohawk I got after I was laid off early this summer. It’s really sort of amazing what 20 years will do. You can point and laugh at my picture all you want but remember kids the 80’s was a lot of fun, in fact it was a blast from what i remember.

 

 

About the site

I love rock and metal. Seeing bands play at the old Checker Dome, River Port Ampatheater and Mississippi Nights was always a blast. At the time being a musician one of my favorite parts of the show was seeing band members perform solos. So one day it struck me. Hey the internet needs a site to show musicians showing off some awesome chops.
