Gene Simmons Axe Bass
Gene Simmons has to be given credit for making the “axe” or bass guitar popular. In 1978 Gene was looking for an axe that would stand out in live KISS performances. With the help of Steve Carr the axe bass was born and has been chopping out rock n roll ever since.
